Clouded leopard was first found in Souteast Asia in 1821. It's considered one of the rarest species. After 13-year quest, Formosan clouded leopard (a subspecies that was endemic to the island of Taiwan) was confirmed extinct in 2014 due to habitat destruction and illegal hunting. Some animals are luckier. Scientists have recently found sharks living inside an active underwater volcano with temperature as high as 800 degrees Fahrenheit. It seems that they have adapted to this extreme environment. With ACs and heaters running all year round, human body is apparently much less tolerant to changing weather than any other species. We may be far from extinction, but a single power outage will simply make a lot of people want to die...
